Most people are aware of the career of Richard Branson and, in particular, his success in identifying realistic and viable business ideas. Has his personality and public profile changed much in the last 25 years?
That said, he himself is not a technical expert in managing airlines, trains, a music business, financial services and other types of business in which he has involved himself; rather, he is good at employing professional managers who can take responsibility for the different businesses.

Levi Roots was first seen on Dragon’s Den where he requested the dragons to lend him £50,000 to finance a sauce making business. The recipe had been passed down from his grandmother who lived in the Caribbean. His novel way of presenting his business proposal by coming on singing a song about Reggae Sauce was innovative in itself; the dragons went for the idea and he is now selling sauces in major supermarket chains.
Frazer Doherty created Super Jams: From Edinburgh, at 14 years of age he was getting contracts from Waitrose and manufacturing his jams by the pallet load. By 19 years of age he went to the University of Strathclyde to do a Business and Management degree. Again, the recipe was handed down from his grandmother.
